You must be trolling. But you're probably just a moron that thinks "planet fitness" is a hardcore gym so let me briefly explain.

1. It's a powerlifting gym...Is powerlifting an Olympic event? No.

2. Olympic gold medalists train in national Olympic team training facilities in no way open to the public.

3. Louie has worked with Olympic track and field athletes and made them stronger, faster etc.

1. Exactly. It's a garage event.

2. And that is where the real athletes reside.

3. I could have done that too.

That place is a hell hole. It does have everything you need to be a power lifter though. Most elite Olympic lifting gyms have barbells, squat racks, platforms of different heights and a hyper bench. That's it.

Just because a world class athlete trains at your gym doesn't mean the gym owner gets the credit for their accomplishments. One famous gym for pro football players became famous because it was the closest gym to where many of the NY Giants and NY Jets members lived. All of sudden the owner is a nationally renowned football strength expert who gets Division I players from around the country flying in to get trained for the combine. Does the guru know his craft? Maybe he does and deserves every accolade that is given him. Then again, maybe the emperor has no clothes.

All that talk about totals.  ;D Powerlifters can't even define what the fuck a squat is! How can they talk about totals for fuck's sake! No standards = No sport! No professionals = No sport. Powerlifting = No-one gives a fuck!

Real powerlifters know what a squat is. Those wsb types created their own feds with bullshit rules, equipment and judging because they couldn't set official world records in the IPF.

I am pretty sure back in the day, when the IPF meant something, there were westside lifters that had IPF records,i believe doug heath had ipf records,as well as a few female lifters. the IPF aint a big deal anymore and they don't attract much of a crowd at the Arnold either!
