Its exactly the type of Gym i love, these are a dying breed, make no mistake these places probably lack the good lucking gym bunnies but are a hell lot more fun to go to than any of the tailor made clean cut fitness shit chains.

Yeah...we're good. First year lease was up this month, just signed a five year lease and taking over the unit next to us making it 1950sqft. I don't need anything bigger than that. It would have been stupid to have investors and be in debt $150k and pay triple for a retail space and overhead. I couldn't lose my business even if I lost 3/4 of my clientele which is over 120 between this place and our other location.

Run down pieces of shit, and the clientele is a bunch of know it all dickheads who want to critique your squat form, but look like nothing themselves.. give me brand new equipment, that is frequently updated, AC, swimming pools, lots of members, good energy, etc....i thought training in my garage with three dudes, with metal blasting in the background was cool when i was 15.

If that's what you're into then fine. We are not a bodybuilding-type gym nor do we advertise it as such. However, it's no secret that barbells and dumbbells build a thicker and more powerful looking physique.

His choice of gym atmosphere is irrelevant. Genetics and drugs build thick powerful physiques. A gym is a gym, weight is weight. I prefer a nicer atmosphere for my money, not pissing in a bucket in the janitor closet of a converted warehouse.

As far as my gym, one of the best gyms in the world isn't much bigger than mine yet develops probably the strongest people in the world and looks like a shithole yet people seem to want to go there. With this foo foo attitude you have toward "hardcore" gyms, something tells me you wouldn't make it past the front desk at Metroflex (Arlington).

You're right, because i wouldnt walk through the front door of that shithole . I have been to plenty of hardcore gyms, a bunch of fat guys lifting weights that are too heavy for them.

I know of it, but I've never been there. In the past my local gyms were very good, so there was no need to look elsewhere. But yes, you are right: it can work. It's just that for most it doesn't. Too bad, I prefer such small and crunchy setups.

You have the same problem I have, small gyms in my town too. Sometimes I use some equipment I've bought, it looks like it's made for kids but oh well haha :D

It's not the size of my gym that bothers me, it's just a little too small, but rather their shitty/fragile SportsArt & Hoist equipment line. We have three lat pulleys and three leg presses as well, and all of them SUCK , Chinese crap >:(

The rack and the bench came from Rogue, the rack was co-designed with Westside. It is built like a fukkin' tank. With the safety spot arms, it weighs over 200 pounds. The bench is Rogue's "Monster Bench" with the "Thompson Fatpad", which is a more solid, larger surface. It helps support my potentially dodgy shoulders. I hate benches that move around under me, and this one is rooted to the ground. My wife complains because it is heavy and hard to move.

I go to Tito24 gym in Holland. Hot chicks train there mostly. It is a bit rough that it is mandatory to take MDMA while working out, while random youtube videos play on a projector. Tito sits in a room enclosed by transparent green plexi glass and posts on getbig while the gym members work out. He is rarely seen outside the room.

Absolutely agree + all equipment was literally hand weld by Hazbin who on top of that gives away solid gold/silver fanny packs to loyal customers.
