He's right. Clint as an actor is not impressive. Never has been. Does not mean he is not watchable and likable obviously, his movies stand the test of time and then some.

Clint Eastwood defined the western lead role in the 60s and tough cop guy lead role in the 70s. A prolific actor and then director.

Goodfellas is a great movie but this guy needs to make some other decent movies before running his mouth.

Liotta has only had 5-7 good to great movies in his entire career. Eastwood had that many in just the 80's - 90's. Liotta has one iconic film character, Eastwood, by my estimation, nearly 1/2 a dozen. Clint isn't my favorite actor, but he absolutely towers over Liotta. Furthermore, Eastwood has maintained his artistic credibility better than many, he hasn't become some direct to video schlub.

Ray isn't even close to being in the same category as Eastwood. Clint is way better than Ray at any age and Gran Torino proved that!

Maybe Ray means that the majority of Clints roles act the same, so there is not much range to his acting.

Ray on the other hand has played tough, weak, loony, serious, sad etc

TV needs to prune the deadwood and concentrate on expensive projects. They can put together series that indies haven't got the pockets to produce. Breaking Bad, etc.

Everyone is interviewing everyone and up/pod/tubing. This Johnny Carson shit on television is over.

It will be interesting to see how Shia LeBoeff does in the Good, Bad, and the Ugly remake. He's about the only other actor that could pull it off.

Ray Liotta is like third banana in Goodfellas, and I think he was even more of a supporting actor in Blow.

Something Wild, Goodfellas, Article 99, Cop Land, Blow, Narc, Killing Them Softly, and Kill The Messenger, and maybe Field of Dreams are the only films I'd qualify as good to great, and in many of them he was just a supporting role.
