I'll check it out. But to be honest, I like GetBig. It's not perfect but I like it the way it is. But I come from a different perspective than Ron. I don't see this board as primarily a bodybuilding board. It's evolved into something way more than that. It's kind of a locker room and one of the few bastions left where a man can act like a man or get ridiculed for being a pussy. Men, left together on their own, can be very disgusting and vile creatures. Ribbing, mocking and taunting is how we show our love. This board will only take so much whining and sensitivity before, as a previous poster said, "Drink some cement and harden the fak up." In our increasingly feminized culture we need this.
I don't want some fat fuk posting a pic only to have people say, "Good base. You have a lot of potential. Work more on bringing the quads up." I like that here they say, "You're a fat fuk. Your potential is less than zero. What compelled you to even post a pic? You are hopelessly delusional. Please kill yourself."
I like the fights, the ownings, the humor. It keeps me on my game. I remember one of the first posts I read on GetBig when a newbie introduced himself with the opening statement, "Hey dudes! " then started going on about his interest and stats and what not. The very next reply was, "I started hating you at 'Hey dudes!'" I loved that! Men don't introduce themselves and start giving you their whole life history. You just jump into the fray, take your beatings, toughen up, and start dishing it out yourself.
Ron, you have a board unlike any other. It needs to be tweaked a little. I'm glad that you seemed to have put an end to the graphic gay porn on the G&O and got rid of the pathological haters like The New Hank Wood and Switzennegger. But keep it like the wild west that it is. Bring back Special Ed and Block.
