Hunting is not a sport either.  I don't how much of a sport it is when you can hide in trees and shoot an unsuspecting animal from almost a mile away. Want to make hunting a sport.  Hide in a tree and when the bear walks by, jump on his back and kick his ass and then kill him with your bare hands.

Most people on here would probably claim they could do that

I have done that, it was a Kodiak bear, about 1,500#, jumped right up on his big furry back........tough little bear, but in the end I was the one left standing, and that Kodiak wished he had never run into JV.

Yes it is.

Sorry, but the fucking car does the actual work. Yes, the driving requires skill, but NO athletic ability.

As gay as I think the Tour De France may be, as least those guys are athletic. Nascar drivers are glorified go cart drivers.

Try driving a car going to 200+ MPH for 500 miles with it being 150 degrees in the cockpit. Not only does it take mental conditioning it takes an enormous amount of physical conditioning as well.

They lose up to ten pounds during some rac es. It takes extreme endurance.

Oh, and I detest Nascar, but must be fair.

Recently, I overheard a current IFBB pro refer to himself as a "professional athlete". He was being praised for always keeping a calm demeanor and a smile on his face. He said..."I am a professional athlete and I cannot allow things to bother me. I have problems like everyone, but I can't get stressed out and allow it to affect my body."
It actually caught me a little off guard and I did'nt know what to think. I still don't know what to think. I grew up playing all sports, even college and minor league baseball. I'm a little old school...basketball, football, baseball, etc are sports and it requires "athletes" to play them...however, I can understand folks who say things like golf are sports. I mean, it does take a certain athletic movement to swing the club and the use of hand-eye coordination...Bodybuild ing, ummm I'm not quite sold on that being a sport that requires athletes to perform in it. Jesus christ, how many needles can these guys stick in their bodies? I actually find steroid use a little pathetic :-\

ALL of the sports you referred to use roids.

Remember, ESPN, the "Sports Network" regularly (and pathetically) features Poker championships and crosswords championships.
