Asparagus jumped up to $2.49/lb for a short time.  It's back to $1.49.
It's awesome roasted (drizzle w/olive oil & kosher salt - single layer 425 ~20-25 min)

Another great item, especially for entertaining.

BUMP...

I haven't been to Aldi in a few weeks, except to quickly run in after work to buy eggs and Greek yogurt. Any good buys lately, Princess?

Tenderloins - $5.99/lb   Had one on the grill last night & it was very good.
Avocados - .49/ea
Strawberries - .99/lb
Kiwi - .99/bag (about 6)
Eggs - .89/doz.

My favorite all-purpose frying pan. $14.99
I bought one last year and it's great.  Not at all flimsy, non-stick.  Washes up beautifully.

Amazing supermarket.

Over here in th UK they've won the 'Which Supermarket' award for a few years running, which is a huge acheivement considering the other giants that compete for this.

I have 4 total in my household, wife and 2 young children. We eat like kings, 90% fresh produce to boot, for around £40 a week. That is unheard of for a small family grocery bill over here.

I buy a different pack of mixed dried fruit a week (£0.69), some of the mixtures are amazing and go perfect with my morning oats! Considering the equivalent amount of dried fruit at a competitors supermarket is nearly 3 times the cost!

Sounds like your prices are better than ours.

They definitely run a lean, tight ship.

Im not sure they have any Aldi stores in the south. Same thing for in and out, and Carl's.

Put your zip code into the store locator on their site.  Stores are all over the place.  Admittedly, I've been to several throughout the US and some are not as nice as others.

One thing I hate though, is that the first ailse you are forced to walk through contains all the pastries, chocolate, candy and cookies  :'(

I've been waiting for months to stock up on this.  They only have it once or twice a year.  This stuff (the Thai Chili) is awesome!  Mix a little in with Greek yogurt for a fabulous dip for chicken appetizers, egg rolls, falafel, roasted sweet potatoes, white fish, or anything fried.

they get some good stuff there.  I need to see if I can find the blender thing you got.  I have to do better.  I've basically given up and my blood glucose levels are incredibly high.  Gave up on the caring of the diabetes.

The blender is probably sold out by now.  It was a special buy - limited quantities.

Shame on you and diabetes mgt.  >:(  With your skills and knowledge, it should be easy to come up with tasty recipes that fit.

You need to come shadow me at my job for a few days. That'll change your mind and attitude REAL quick!

Migsy needs an intervention!  Where does the problem lie señor?  Is it motivation or lack of knowledge of what to/how to eat?

He needs to have a chargrilled diabetic toe break off in his hand during a lower extremity arterial exam. That's usually pretty convincing.

I'm just fed up with life lol.  Plus I have low T, so motivation is zilch.  I need to get better eating (no excuse, I have a B.S. in nutrition) Tired of taking meds so I stopped.  I think my A1C is somewhere around 12-13.  Sugars run mid 200's plus.  Go big right?   :(
