I must say, some of the recent video footage of Kai Greene has made me re-evaluate my opinion of the man. Because of certain sordid things he did in the past and some lackluster radio interviews where he showed no charisma at all, I had a very negative opinion of the guy even though I've always respected his physical accomplishments. However, he does seem to be a straightforward guy, and comes off pretty sincere. I think he is very committed to being the best he can be and I can admire someone with that kind of drive. But...if he decides to sodomize any more defenseless citrus fruits, then I will have to consider him..totally unredeemable.

Kai learned what most bodybuilding insiders already know. Glass is an overrated, overhyped trainer who takes on as many pros as possible, pays little attention to any of them but kisses all their asses and then uses that publicity to take on mainstream clients for big money. Glass became "the man" by training Flex and Dillett in the old days, two ridiculous genetic freaks and helping with "supplements". Anyone could have trained those two and they would have looked as good if not better. Didn't even have them train that hard and he did nothing in terms of the diets and prep. Just trained them and advised on supps.
I'm glad Kai had the balls to tell a little of the truth about Glass.
Kai will recover, but not in time for the AC. Nice work, Glassman.

I think Kai's got a bit of a Wizard of Oz fascination; pictures of him guest posing as the cowardly lion that time come to mind so it could be that he was gonna write this to his dramatic liking regardless of what Charles had to offer him...come on, the guy's won a pro show before, he knows what's going on here, it's not Charles' fault...but you know I don't think Kai really means to be bashing Charles but when you're at this point precontest and they've got a camera in your face it's kinda hard not to let some of the things slip that you know you really shouldn't be discussing yet...which he kind of hinted at in the beginning of the interview...it makes for good web TV but maybe the MD people need to back off a little and let him deal with some of this stuff on his own for a minute; Kai looks to be very vulnerable right now and I think he really just wished Shawn would have stopped the interview at least long enough to let the cramping subside.

But all in all this Arnold will be a good one to watch with Kai and Victor having these runs that they're apparently on...Victor's upper body looks to be on par with the best I've ever seen size-wise; but I'm telling you, if Kai pulls this off he could make Victor's lower body look woefully deficient.

As opposed to the training techniques themselves. It all starts in the mind so it can help a huge deal of course. Though Kai's trust in Charles didn't seem to be that high right now.
Charles is a living legend in this sport. From my perspective, everyone in Gold's Gym knows Charles is the man whether they admit to it or not. The fact is, Charles has seen so many elite physiques come and go...sometimes I just think, wow, this guy has probably seen the largest number of the most extreme examples of human conditioning ever...he has interacted with them extensively during many of the activities and times that led to their achieving that conditioning...he's watched the muscles flex as they performed the exercises, he's watched the expressions, he's seen their behaviors, interacted, etc...he's seen things that have never been photographed for anyone else to see ever...all of this actually goes a long way in helping to create a physique that is a work of art...I've gotta think that just his observation of you and subtle direction probably helps fuel a very special process in the people who he comes in contact with...and when you add to the fact that many of these people trained BEFORE they met him with the intention of one day getting to work with him, well I think you could maybe even say that he was responsible for a little bit of that development too...like Kai's saying here...in modern bodybuilding Charles Glass represents "the wizard" of training, the pinnacle of a whole industry, of a whole sport/hobby. People have it in their head that if they are to be the best in the world, then they will eventually be trained by Charles Glass. So if they truly believe that, that's what he will be able to help them do. I'm reasonably certain that if you're ready for him Charles is as capable as any other person on earth of helping you reach your peak. I just don't think Charles has ever seen anything like Kai before...I don't think ANYBODY is gonna know what to do with Kai better than Kai...from all we've seen from him, Kai's on the fringe of some stuff that nobody here fully understands if you ask me...I'm spooked that he's as well-spoken and articulate as anyone else we've ever heard from in the industry...if you'll notice he's even giving Shawn a run for his money here in this department...so from the grapefruit, to the Michael Jackson posing routine (arguably one of the best ever seen), to the crazy guest posing stunts/costumes...this guy is something else, I just want people to realize it now while it's playing out.
And just to clear things up about Kai's "passing out" the other day after his third session of cardio, Charles told me himself that he only had him doing 2 sessions. So you really can't hold Charles accountable there. ;D

Payment...don't know. Whatever it is was too much. People don't realize that Charles is clueless when it comes to diet because he is one of those guys who could eat anything, "supplement" and be shredded. He was legless in his day, but had great genetics for condition without working his ass off. Did very little cardio as well.
As for a source, you bet your ass.

to me that is not good posing - he's dancing/girating, but not posing.
he might throw up the odd side chest and front double bi but so do i everytime i pas a mirror - it doesn't make me ronnie coleman. :D

You seem to have a real agenda towards knocking Charles Glass. I don't think its necessary. If people want to utilize the guy's services to improve themselves, it is their prerogative. I just think Kai is learning what guys like Coleman, Yates, and Haney learned long ago...that you don't need to be in the circus of California or have the high profile trainer to get to the highest levels your physique will allow. Shawn Ray knew this too, which seems to be why he always did his own contest prep.
I know I wouldn't want to work with a guy that is also training my competition, but that's just me.
Kai is quite the character. I look forward to the package he brings. I am a fan of his since I saw him back in his earliest shows in NYC when he was a young pup. Personally, I preferred the physique of Kai Greene pre NPC/IFBB than today. His shape was phenomenal then, and with all the added muscle he has today I think his physique no longer flows.
