Very bizarre.

For the first time in history we are seeing people intentionally :
1) making themselves physically weaker
2) mutilating their reproductive organs/ ability to reproduce

At any other point in history physical strength was a valuable asset to both men and women. In many instances it was how social hierarchy was established. Additionally the desire to reproduce, even for the omega's in the pack, guaranteed the continuance of their DNA.

Generations have repeated to the point that the carbon copy has faded. People don't have natural instincts to survive. There's no need to hunt and gather. Sex is for pleasure and reproduction is a curse. People would rather live in a virtual world than a real world.
