Is anyone else sick of "modern" gyms?

It seems like all gyms today are so..I don't know... too clean or just "pussified" for lack of a better term. There's TVs everywhere, shitty pop music blasting all day, the trainers don't even look like they lift, no chalk rules, useless machines take up 90% of the gym, they get mad if you drop a little weight, and all the weights are covered in plastic. Where are all the hardcore gyms? I really miss the sweet heavenly sound of York weights rumbling through each rep.

I just got tired of people telling us what we can not do. My gym is very high school weight type atmosphere, mostly barbells and dumbbells and a hardcore dont give a shit type atmoshpere. I like to say we SCREAM YELL CUSS and FART and yes we allow chalk lots of it

I have 2 gym memberships, I like to switch it up. Sometimes I want hardcore old school equipment..sometimes I want a piña colada protein smoothie pwo chillen in a jacuzzi with Espn on the flat screen

Yes.  I'm sick of working out in what feels like a hospital.  "Modern gyms" are glorified social clubs.  So many useless machines everywhere.  Nobody uses most of them because they can't tell what they are for.

i hate modern gym's people but i also dislike the grunting macho and hairy sweaty fat people from the hardcore oldskool gyms. i rather have the least people as possible surrounding myself i think.

they bitched at me for using chalk and said can't you see the sign "no chalk"
thing was it was placed on the walls at eye level for the clown in the wheel chair
that put them there.  and said clown had the gall to claim I couldn't read.

I love them I wish there was more of them so the morons who come to waste time spend 2 hrs on the bench press or on their phones in packs of 6 would leave the hardcore gym I go to and go there.

There is a massive one opening close by cheap I cannot wait till it opens so these clowns can leave and go there and leave hardcore gyms to people who are actually serious about training
