It's been a while since Melvin was on the show. Didn't he and Bob have an interesting exchange on getbig? I'd love to hear a little bit on that. What was that little tiff about again?

Ask Melvin what he thinks of Kai Greene. He's said some stinging things about him. Kai is like a lesser version of Melvin - great poser and genetics, maybe a little small. But Melvin isn't really small anymore.

have to agree with all that. Melvin is the man! Sky is the limit if he could dry out. Funny guy also. Met him once in orange county. he had everyone cracking up.

Great show overall. Dan S asked some good questions and was better than the last few times.
Chic was solid but a tad more subdued , perhaps due to Dan's more animated , upbeat questioning.
I could tell that Bob Chic got a tad antsy over the "what do you want to tell Bob, about his job as athletes rep" to Melvin :o Both men acted in a very professional manner , which is good for the sport.
Melvin is an intelligent man and well spoken. That along with his type of physique, will help promote our sport. I am 100% certain to go to the ASC now that I know both Melvin and Tony Freeman will be in it.
The only negative is the obvious lack of "technical details" when it came to how Melvin could get more ripped/shredded look. He did admit he needed to suffer and I think we all can infer what kinds of things that involves with him saying it. It would be nice however, if the pros could be more open about various contest prep drugs, such as diuretics as well as AAS and HGH , etc. Since they really can't do that, it leaves the door open for the drug myth culture we now are in. I suspect that the truth is not as sensational as some might think, which would burst a lot of pro wannabe's dreams.
I do agree with Bob Chic that the ultra shredded grainy look is an individual thing and some have it while others never will.
The interview with FLEX mags Shawn Perine, was a good compliment to the Melvin interview. It gave some unique insights into the relationship and lifestyle of 2 great champs; Rich Gaspari and Lee Haney.
I also found it interesting how the sport has changed in regards to being serious in a lot more places than sothern Cal now.
I will admit that when I listen to Pro BB radio, it brings me back to a time when I first started pumping iron and I feel like a young buck again hehe. Me and my old gym buddys would have loved hanging out in one of dorm rooms , listening in to Pro BB radio . Sadly, nothing like existed in my old college days.

LOL, I have a jar , I put coins in it, I would like to put some more, that is where the get big fund for Howie to attend shows comes in :'(
The Col Pro might be a no go with the problems with a title sponser , I am going to the ASC and may even hit the La expo/ Ironman as well. I am teaching an extra exam prep class for the science graduation test, so I have some extra $$ comming in ;D

LOL that was funny ;D I will be better at ASC. The diet is gonna suck like always but since I am filming a movie since the O my shape is staying close. The Movie is called Blood and Bone starring Micheal Jai White, Bob Sapp, Dante Basco, and others. I do have my SAG card now. I have a really good part with lines and everything. I got Shot yesterday though, that was soooo fun. Bob Sapp is funny man. it is rated a "R" :o Ill keep yall posted

I remember seeing this clip the day after the Olympia this year. It was taken at the Arnold 2007. The day after the Olympia, I saw you at Gold's Gym in Vegas doing a Muscletech promo and was amazed at the difference in size. Obviously, every pro take sauce, etc...but wouldn't you agree it's pretty ridiculous how off gear you appear to be no more than the average guy? I would even say I'm more jacked and I take no drugs.
You seem like a decent guy and this is not a personal attack, but I was just curious on your thoughts. It can't feel great to know your whole physique is reliant on chemicals.
