Ive watched a video on youtube of Some fitness guru saying that Arnold personally told him that Chin-ups are the "only" way to add good mass to the arms.
Looks like Arnold was bullshiting for the hell of it again ;D

some of the sprinters has pretty decent size on their legs. but no where near Bobybuilder sized legs.

Speedskaaters legs sure seem to be big, comparing to their upper bodies.
In reality, nowhere near BB legs.

Charles Poliquin disagrees.
In fact he'd probably call you fat and skinny too. If you're more than 10% BF you're fat in his books. And of course you're never strong or big enough.

Maybe I should call up Poliquin. It should only take 5-6 weeks or so.

To be fair, you have to look at the 500 m speedskaters. Beyond that distance, the effort becomes increasingly aerobic.
I met Eric Heiden in 1981. You would not believe how big he was. Pictures are very deceptive. He had a big upperbody as well as lower. I would guess his quads were well over 28 inches, maybe up to 30. I thought I was standing next to a clydesdale. I have also stood next to Pete Grymkowski and Danny Padilla. Eric was easily as big as Grymkowski in the leg department and probably bigger.
What makes the pictures not look comparable is the overall development of Platz's legs in each particular muscle group. But Platz was not so big compared to other bodybuilders. Check this photo from the 78 Mr Universe competition (its the biggest version I could find)

Doesn't matter, Platz's were still much bigger than the speedskaters.
Hatfield, who trained tom platz (i believe around 84-85) sighed at poliquins statement. He said it was not even remotely possible (the scenario of speedskaters having comparable leg development), and let's not forget hatfield has trained lots of speed skaters.
