Diet Help needed
« on: April 04, 2010, 10:32:40 AM »
I am 6'8  240, 31 years old. I began cutting in September at 273 pounds.

I work out 4x week for an hour (weights +15 min cardio, one day of just cardio on the 5th day)

It feels like my weight loss has stopped over the last few weeks. My lifts are increasing, but I am still trying to get rid of the small belly that I have worked so hard to get rid of.

My Diet:

Meal 1: scoop of protein, banana                                         200 cals

Workout

Meal 2: Two eggs, three whites, 1/4 oatmeal with a few raisins.   500 cals

Meal 3: Greek Yougurt, 1/2 piece of fruit                                 200 cals

Meal 4: salmon or tuna, bit of mayo, spinach salad, few nuts       550 cals

Meal 5: Lean chicken, spinach/dressing or mixed veggies             550 cals

Meal 6: Cottage cheese                                                        220 cals

Meal 5: 2 scoops protein shake                                              220 cals

Total cals are 2440 and protein is right at one gram per pound of body weight.

So, what can I do to continue to burn this stomach? I have a great workout based around compound lifts. Are my cals too LOW?

I would be grateful for any tips/suggestions/thoughts

If you want to look like guys on the cover of M&F, then diet alone will not just do the trick.  Simple cardio neither.  You need to look into HIT type cardio.  Go outside, sprint as hard as you can for a minute, then walk for a minute, sprint again, do this 10 times first thing in the morning.

Then supplement with some serious fat burners.  ECA, CLEN or T3.

Also cycle carbs.  Do 2-3 days no carbs, then 1 moderate day, 1 high day, then back to no carbs.  You need to keep your body on edge. Eating the same thing everyday just allows your body to adapt and then fat burning slows down.

You should also consult an ex. bb or nutritionist to finish off that stubborn fat.

Let me ask.  Did you eat a lot of junk food and fast food int he past?  If you built up a fat layer from eating high Trans Fats, you may never be able to burn it off. The body cannot use trans fats for fuel.

Thanks for the great advice. I have had a few people mention carb cycling, so I am going to give that a shot.

Also, I have tried Nitor as a fat burner but know very little about any other options. Could you explain the burners that you suggested?

There is a sticky on ECA here.  Re: the other 2 items, you'll need to go to the hardcore board and do a little research.

Hint:  Search > Clen

Except when flying.  I'm 6'4" and have a hell of a time feeling comy when I fly.  Airplanes are made for midgets.

As for the fat burners.  Don't get caught up in all of these ones you see in mags.  They are nothing more than caffeine laced products that give you a buzz that people mistaken for fat burning.  Follow what princess said about searching for Clen or T3.  Just do a google search for either, the same for ECA or just read the sticky.

You need to get mean with your cardio.  A tall dude like you should do those sprints.  Look online for burpees and HIT cardio and follow some of the tips.

Airplanes are horrible. Id rather drive for two days then sit in a 4 hour flight.

Does anyone have any first hand experience with the mentioned fat burners? Suggestions for a reputable source?

I dated a girl that was 5'3. Yes, it is the perfect height ;)

And I have not tried the meth diet. Im sure it's effective but probably a bit too risky for my liking.

ECA = Ephedra or Ephedrine, Caffeine, Aspirin.

I'd say practically everyone around here has experience with it.  Common experiences are mentioned in the sticky.

Clen = Clenbuterol   generally prescribed for asthma.  Purchasing on-line usually falls in the category of "research chemical"  ;)

T3 is a thyroid hormone.

Both Clen and T3 are discussed on the Hardcore board.
