Polls show 33% of Repubs see Romney as the next party leader.
That's not good.
While the Mormons would love to be able to influence policy from the White House, they're more concerned with what a great recruiting tool Romney would be as President.
They've studied the Obama campaign and have analyzed their own success on Prop 8 (California), so you can believe that Romney will be back in 2012.
Now, if they run him out there and Obama wins re-election (assuming he does a solid job), then we probably will not see Romney in 2016.
BUT, if all indicators point towards Obama being in trouble in 2012, then expect Romney to be the nominee that year.
This means that Republicans better get hoppin' on finding us a decent Christian for America to support, because it America can elect a black man, then it can definitely elect a Mormon.
