making UFC look amateurish since 1997
Used to LOVE the old Pride openings!!
the reason i always liked pride more is very simple...THEY ACTUALLY FAUGHT EACH OTHER!!i loved early UFC too, even though the skill level sucked....todays UFC fighters rather just score points and let the clock run out....and thats boring as hell to me..bench
Yes, no weight classes and barely a rule at all. I remember watching that first UFC on ppv thinking HOLY SHIT....someone's gonna get killed!
another thing i liked about pride was that the ref had a camera on, so everybody saw what the ref saw.....i have seen a ass load of questionable calls in the UFC that could have been rectified with cameras on the ref...bench

I agree , UFC fighters fight no to lose because if they lose 2-3 fights they get cut ,unless your name is Tito Ortiz, Stephan Bonnar or Forrest Griffin.
Love those early Crocop fights, very entertaining because he refused to do the wrestling games. His swift left leg to the head was a beauty.Btw, when they do the arm lock. How the hell do they know the point when to stop not to break it in the heat of the moment...? Or is it hard to break? :S
Yeah I meant this one, the one I see most frequently. It was also prevalent in the Best of Pride fighting-video posted.
eventually it will snap your arm.. but unless you're brazilian you tap pretty fast is someone has it deep.
you might want to edit this while you still got a chance, Swedethere are several Japanese fighters with "Yamato Damashii" who will tap to nothing (ex Enson Inoue)
