I could care less about what the owner's personal views are and what the views were of his family that started the business. Don't have a particular interest in the traditional vs same sex marriage debates but we all need to stand up against the bullshit big government liberal bully campaign against chick-fil-a as a business. Those mayors who said they would block them from setting up shop in their cities should be disciplined harshly. We must protect our freedoms in this country, freedom to start business and voice personal opinions. Sick of big government proponents trying to over regulate us and tell us what we can and can't do. As long as chick-fil-a isn't discriminating against people, they should be left alone. Because of how they have been attacked so viciously in the media and by certain oppressive politicians, I hope they have an exceptionally profitable year.

While I don't agree with theirs views on this topic. I'm not going to stop eating there, they are a private company and they have never hid the fact that they are run under conservative fundamentals (I mean, they close their stores on Sunday). They have great service, awesome staff, and good food, I commend them for that.
A mayor banning the opening of their store in their city is fucking bullshit, and in a way goes against freedom of speech and freedom of expression. This is not a good move.

Once I seen that infamous Chicken McNugget "goo" picture...I just couldn't eat them anymore.

I don't think you can equate being gay with black, because you can be gay and be any race or color.
And you can't tell many times who is gay. What is somebody going used stereotypical behavior or clothing? You can't. You can't pull a person over for "driving while gay", but damn it you can be pulled over for "driving while black"

And, I believe that the politicians don't agree with gay marriage, they only are ok with it because it brings in money. Think of all the marriage licenses and their cost, plus the weddings and their cost, and the catering...money. In hard economic times, politicians will find ways to make money, and push the "it's for your safety" (redlight and speed cameras), or "equality" (same sex marriage, yet many of the politicians are cheating on their wives).

Shit, as far as agendas go, look at Mcdonald's and their ads supporting "365 black" and "black music month", and you can find at least 2-5 in the projects, if not more. Now, we all know that black folk get diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, high cholesterol at higher rates than other populations. And that cheap fast food is what people will go to instead of going to the store and buying fruits and veggies and fixing a decent meal. And also, that fast food burns a hole in your wallet, therefore helping you to be locked into being poor.
I wish McDonald's would have a far better selection of food (because Chipotle's is the shit), and black folk need to speak out on the spamming of their communities with that junk.

Chick-fil-A appears to have set a company record in sales on Wednesday, a day on which Americans were encouraged to show their support for the fast-food restaurant whose leadership has drawn both criticism and praise in recent weeks for its opposition to same-sex marriage.
The privately held company declined to give specific sales figures but released a statement confirming that frenzied sales of chicken sandwiches and cross-cut waffle fries had made for a record-setting day.

Such images - as well as those of crowded Chick-fil-A counters and long lines of cars - created a social media frenzy on Wednesday as they were shared and reshared on a variety of platforms, including Twitter.
The images suggested that sales were indeed going gangbusters, and confirmation of those suspicions arrived when Orange County pastor Rick Warren tweeted a snippet of a conversation he'd had with Dan Cathy, president of the chain:
"@DanCathy just called me. #ChickFilA has already set a world record today, with 7 more hrs to go in the West. #OutOfChicken"
The company, which abides by biblical principles and closes its doors on Sundays, stressed in its statement that Chick-fil-A did not promote Wednesday's turnout.
Robinson's statement alluded to rumors that another protest (including "kiss-ins") will be staged at Chick-fil-A's on Friday by same-sex-marriage supporters, which in turn has led to rumors of counter-counter-protests.
The company said that Friday would be just another day, and another opportunity: "We understand from news reports that Friday may present yet another opportunity for us to serve with genuine hospitality, superior service and great food."

People are born with an innate capacity for social reciprocity and emotional connection. If raised by good parents, this in most cases is enough. My parents didnt need to say to me, "You better not kill someone because God said so" My innate capacity for social and emotional relationships, coupled with good parenting is more than enough to make me a good citizen. To believe otherwise is the bible brainwashing you into believing that if someone doesnt say to you "god say dont do that" youre going to kill 500 people ::) ::)

What you have to realize is everything you just said is relative to a Christianity based society that you, your parents, your parents parents,etc were raised in. So much of what we think to be morally right and wrong in the US and Europe has been built and shaped around christian beliefs over the past thousand+ years. So much so that our very thoughts are hard to separate from Christan rooted principals.
If you were raised about 1,000 years ago in say...um South America, your exact views would vastly different, since the entire concept of morality, what is right and wrong, etc would be vastly different. They did human sacrifices and thought it wasn't just OK and right, but a needed necessity to make the SUN gods happy and help bring on a good harvest season. If we were to speak to those exact individuals they might look at us as crazy in how sensitive we are to killing.

A lot of the "pre-Jesus" stuff was for the Jewish people to live healthly in a time where hand washing and real meds didn't exist and higene was taboo. and yes the anti-gay bible verses are in that part too. Something to think about.

I could care less about what the owner's personal views are and what the views were of his family that started the business. Don't have a particular interest in the traditional vs same sex marriage debates but we all need to stand up against the bullshit big government liberal bully campaign against chick-fil-a as a business. Those mayors who said they would block them from setting up shop in their cities should be disciplined harshly.
