Title: Is Frank Zane some kind of outlier?

Frank Zane seems to be a one off. Why aren't there more?

Malcolm Gladwell would have a field day with this character, why are there so few "davids" to all the "goliaths" in Bodybuilding?

Did he ever outline his diets? I'd be curious
