Anything works on gear. Training one body part per week is complete bullshit.

Legs as well. We train legs twice per week. One heavy (1-3 reps) and when we don't have a dynamic day, we have a rep day (8-12 reps)

I always see you say this but you never actually say what kind of routine 3 full body workouts a week involves.

do you ever do 50 or 100 rep sets?

i'll go as high as 20-25 reps, and a friend of mine recommended that i try some 50 rep sets but i just couldn't stay concentrated long enough to stay with that high of reps

I like training with full body workouts. I workout on days when my body and mind feels fresh and ready. Sometimes I only need two days rest, sometimes six days, etc.

I think for me it is best to listen to my body on when how often to train, how many sets.

There are so many factors that affect recovery such as how much sleep, what your diet was like, how much stress at work and home, hormonas levels, and that sticking to a cookie cutter program tends to fail after a while due to lack of recovery, lack of motivation or boredom.

Not everyone can recover at the same rate so why do so many different people try to do the same programs.

Specific programs might be good for peaking for powerlifting comps and other athletic endeavors, or to use over the short term to bust through plateaus.

Make sure you have comprehensive health insurance, and don't rely on obamacare.

I always see you say this but you never actually say what kind of routine 3 full body workouts a week involves.

This is an example I use for overhead athletes (baseball, QB, tennis, etc) It's more for athletic strength but could  be modified for bodybuilding.

DAY 1-

DB Bench Press (or bench press variation)
a1) Inverted Rows w/Rope
a 2) Trap Bar DL

B1) Alt Incline Press
B2) Single Leg Squat
B3) GH Raise

DAY 2 -

Box Squat

A1) DB Incline Press
A2) Lateral rotation Squat
A3) Piraformis stretch
B1) Chest Supported Row
B2) 1RDL
B3) Shoulder T-drill

DAY 3 -

Dead Lift (Reg, sumo)
or Tire Flips

A1) Neutral Grip Chins
B2) Front Squats (or variation, Zurcher)

B1) High knee walking Lng
B2) Front Plate Raise
B3) Sled Drags

I train one day on, one day off.

I get the best gains this way, have higher energy, more motivation and burn-out less.

what do you think of interrupted sets?

for example on leg press do 5 reps and then stay in the locked out postion for a count of 10 and then do another 5 reps and do this 4 times through

and then once you can get 5 reps in all 4 "sets" increase the weight
