Does anybody have an opinion on algae based biofuel?
It requires large amounts of land and water but photosynthesis takes care of the rest. I have read about alternate ways to grow it that do not require as much water. Talk as been made about growing it along the Gulf Coast as well. It's exciting, not the 'magic bullet' but just another piece of the pie.
New ways to make ethanol have already been invested in and are far along in the testing phase. Cellulosic ethanol made from organic material and broken down via lab recreated bacteria is also something cool to follow.
