At what altitude will be Colorado Pro be held?
« on: April 15, 2006, 07:02:47 AM »
I know that many opponents of the Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets often have a hard time adjusting to the thinner oxygen at that altitude.

If a pro athlete from the NFL/NBA gets woosy at that altitude, I think it's safe to say that more than a few 250+ dehydrated men in tights might have a problem.

Are you guys planning on having some extra oxygen tanks onhand for the Colorado Pro?

Now that you mention it, this could be a huge problem :-\ Talk about embarrassing if half the competitors are on their hands and knees sucking wind:-X

They held the USA in Colorado back in '95, and there weren't any reports of anyone having issues.

What part of Colorado was the USA in?

Bodybuilders are "athletes" they surely don't need oxygen tanks.

I was in Denver in December and it does take a few days to acclimate to the oxygenation levels. Between eating 6 hot dogs a day and 3 Rocky Mountain Chocolate-covered apples while I was there, my amazing conditioning kept me from collapsing.

Speaking of the ColorMeElmo Pro, is there a confirmed list of competitors yet because Musclemag is waiting for my Preview and Predictions. Thanks brothers.

Another suggestion for Shawn is be sure there are plenty of paramedics and oxygen tanks available.

Hh yeah, I remember her now.  She's a hot piece of ace.

I don't get the oxygen issue.  Here in Colorado Springs the elevation is 1000 feet higher than Denver, and i never see anybody getting all light-headed in the gym.  How long does it typically take a person's lungs to adjust to a change in altitude?  It would seem like no more than 24 hours or so...

Maybe they just cut the Lasix dosages, or hell even use Epogen like cyclists.

Strydom probably not.  Getting to old and probably can't get back into his best shape.  If he could it would be great.  Didn't ask about Kamali.  He would be good for PR though
