I had the same kind of thing actually happen 3 years ago when I went out to a local club with my ex-wife.
It was a fairly slow friday night and the club owner was circulating , shaking hands, etc. After a few brief exchanges he asked me if I wanted to work the door, checkin' ID's /bouncing, etc.
I was flattered and asked him if he was joking, I told him I was too old to do that now ( I was 45 then) but thanked him. He told me if I changed my mind to let him know. Funny thing, I did work as a bouncer in Fayetteville NC years ago after I just got out of the marines. I was VERY lucky, I was smart and never got the crap knocked out of me or shot LOL.

I doubt. I just went. I might have to go to Quantas one more time before the end of the summer but it's in Sydney.
