While I appreciate your eagerness, it took you literally 1 minute and 4 seconds to reply to this thread after I created it! Dude, how often do you hit refresh? You must be constantly lurking on here.

I get the feeling you want to suck Nether's cock. Pretty sure he's not wired that way.
-
Indeed. Amazing.
This physique, in this condition, would render Heath near-invisible on any stage.
Too bad he wasn’t more focussed during his best years.
-
He should have won in 1999 or at least beaten that overrated wheeler that year
Should have never lost to dexter or jay at the Arnold’s and even lee priest I recall from the austrialian Grand Prix
-
the era of the best bbers around. the quality was deep

Victor Martinez can beat him in a fight
-
He should of placed 2nd in the Mr O 1999 and he should of been Arnold Champ at least once...that year Jay was getting smoked in comparisons...Ronnie was at his peak.

2004 Arnold him or Dex had it. Jay looked way overdieted and flat.

To correct Tomn8er, Serge Nubret also did the ab wave way before Cormer and if I remember correctly John Grimek did it way before Nubret. Going even further back, Eugene Sandow did it maybe before anyone.
Anyway, I don't think Cormer would beat Phil but he'd probably be top 5. His back is great but not as great as Phil. The rest of him is pretty good, up there with Phil.
Serge didn't do it up and down, he did something akin to an "ab refresh".
-
Yawn.
No he wouldn’t.
-
Prime Cormier is better than prime Vic Martinez. 99 Cormier is better than 07 Vic.
-
Prime Cormier is better than Prime Vic Martinez. 99 Cormier is better than 07 Vic.
yes but Victor can drop him with a fast right
-
Cormier was probably the most balanced and symmetrical bodybuilder of all time. Front to back, up and down, balanced. And as was stated in the vid, this was possibly why he was overlooked. As well as due to politics (in term of losing to Jay, and even Flex).
-

Prime Ronnie would’ve overpowered that version all day, all week, all year. For centuries.
-
Prime Ronnie would’ve overpowered that version all day, all week, all year. For centuries.
Chris’s physique from a bbing standpoint he has less flaws than Coleman, more balanced, head to toe chris is pretty developed. Ronnie lacks calves, abs are odd with a gut, and the bigger he got although impressive in a mass standpoint he was not balanced at all, just a big blobs of mass
Don’t get me wrong Ronnie was impressive in 2003 and 2004 but too many flaws and that’s what’s wrong with modern bbing
-

Cormier could in theory go up to 260-275 competition weight, and still keep that look, whereas Ronnie had a gut problem at those weights.
-
Never thought his shape was that great. He didn't look bad, but his muscle bellies were kind of flat. Kevin, flex, dexter and all of the other top bodybuilders of that era had extremely round musclebellies. His physique had no sweep except for his front lat pose, which was impressive. When he flexed, muscles didn't seem to pop. Even in that video, his biceps look almost exactly the same before he hits a biceps pose as when he hits it.
Honestly, I think being "perfectly balanced" is sort of a flaw for a bodybuilder. A dominant bodybuilder should have a bodypart or an aspect of their physique that stands out.
-
Heath destroys him.
-
He looks great in that vid, though smooth in the midsrction, glossy.
-
One of the most complete bodybuilders of that era. Zero weak points and a good poser (other than the ass shaking) I guess not having a freak factor was his only weakness considering that’s what was rewarded during most of his career
-
very underrated
better than shawn ray, should've won multiple arnolds
E
-
^better than Shawn Ray???

yep
E

Shawn had a massive chest

Cormier did compete at about 265 pounds in later years if I'm not mistaken. He was lighter in his earlier years.
-
Chris had one of the all time classic physiques in my book, nothing distorted or over done, no weak points, a lot of quality muscle. If he had been 6" he would have been an easy Mr O,., as it was , he came damn close. Great guy too, met him at one of my shows, chatted with me, took a fun pic, not sure where it is now.
-
I think victor Martinez overall is a better bodybuilder, considering both in shape....
Cormier was good but kind of boring in my opinion, a third to fifth place bodybuilder, lack of wow factor in any specific bodyparts
-
i get a kick out of these youngsters (tomin8tor, nicks power and stregnth) putting out old school bodybuilding videos,
and offering their insightful commentary

What you call "lack of wow factor in any specific bodyparts", I call, "WOW, he has perfect balance and symmetry".
It's funny how lack of any disproportionate bodyparts can be considered a weakness.

You mean when he had the torn tricep and looked like he could care less about conditioning? After he lost to Jay at the 2004 Arnold you could kinda see that his drive for competing was waning or snuffed out. The torn tricep was the end of it.
-
The torn tricep was the end of it.
Yes, it was but he still looked good.
-
When at his best
He had a very very good physique
No lacking body parts
The wow factor was his hole physique

No fucking way. Prime Cormier smokes Victor and it's not close.
-
Shawn had a massive chest
no, I disagree, his chest was decent, considering the judging criteria at that time, but his strong points were his legs and his arms, his torso muscles (chest and back) never impressed me in terms of size, but he had great conditioning, lines and cuts everywhere. I would say legit 22'' arms contest ready in his prime

He was already 5’9/5’10
Around a good height for a competitor and O winning potential
Don’t need to be 6 ft, look at the O winners the last 30+ years, no one was a 6 footer

Chris had a quality look Victor always lacked, it’s like victor and his era was the start of all the bloofy bber looks, Victor looked all gh and insulin, with lots of obvious oil in his arms and calves. Vic is a very overrated bber, always has and always will
Even his 2007 Olympia look wasn’t all that compared to chris in 99

Victor looked his best at his NOC win. After that it was all glazed donuts...

Yep and like most, back in 2000 when he got his pro card

maybe it's because to me a massive chest is like Arnold or Franco, Shawn has my chest size, it's big but not massive, IMHO

thank you but no, Arnold, Franco and Lou Ferrigno had massive chest, but I do try my best. I'm very much into golden era type of bodybuilding though (big chests, vacuum pose, v-tapers, huge arms, muscular legs but not too big where they overpower the upper body)
-

Yet, you don't mention JOJ or even early Branch Warren...

because are not that important, sorry

Based on that posing video, I see him not beating heath because back is compulsory to win in the olympia and he wouldn't beat heath at that.

I was saying that if he had been taller with that shape and structure, noone would have beat him.. same with Charles Clairmonte or Thiery Pastel...As it was Ronnie overpowered him.. I'm 6'2" and in the pic I tower over him, so he was maybe 5'9" at best. I wouldnt tower over Arnold, or Ronnie.. and yeah I know Jay isnt tall, met him too- but he was as wide as he is tall, and thats hard to beat! It was freaky to see.
-

JOJ has some of the best chest development seen today. And young Branch as well. And Branch has won the Arnold, multiple times

Brutal if true
