Shape and size-wise this is some pretty cool shiz. Holding some water yeah but has striagtionated assholes, and if this is bad balance and proportion Id love to look that bad!

I always thought he looked incredible that year (well i only got to see the pics until about 5-6 yrs later but still), definitely a highly underrated Oly. performance from Ronnie. The combination of size, conditioning, and fullness is something I have never seen in any other Ronnie appearance.

I don't even necessarily agree with big Mike, but the endless Peter McGough quotes coupled with the contradictory argument that single opinions don't mean anything is doing my head in.
Anyway Ronnie could obviously be dryer but his lower body from the back is still possibly the most ripped ever, discounting Rich Gaspari or some of the really small guys. And as far as balance and proportion I honestly cannot see he's missing anything. Not only that but he's twice the size of everyone else! Levrone's got delt width and arm thickness, probably traps, but that's it, and he loses out in detail on arms and delts.
Bottom line that's a thick powerful physique!

He is like a big roided up bull. I think his lower back might actually be drier in 2003, or maybe just bigger. It's amazing he managed to get even thicker than 2000. His quads are a joke here, different league to everyone else.

To be honest I haven't read the coverage probably since new but I don't recall anything like that.

im pretty sure i remember something like that... I think he tried to fill up too, and then spilled over like crazy, then dried to dry out with too much lasix and god knows what else. i can't remember the specifics.

Still had gyno there and his left quad is torn.

Flex was looking heavier that year than I had ever seen him. I remember reading he went up to 277 pounds in the offseason in preparation for the 2000 Mr. Olympia.
