in diet mode you lose that ability to push 225 for 50 but in diet mode you have plenty of long term endurance energy, but not that superior power wich comes from muscles cells being SATURATED full of water and triglicerides and glucose

I have no problem with the first 25-30 reps using typical half-rep style, but after that they quickly become quarter reps and then eighth reps before clearly not even being able to complete a full rep at the end.

Using good form with near-lockout, I'd say he's good for about 33 reps - no small feat in and of itself.

that was strong, sure, but he DEFINITELY cut those reps way short. my 25 at least got almost all of them to lockout and i'm sure as hell not on his level.

That's exactly it.  Even with that poor form, he still lifts a lot of weight, and what is shown in the clip is still an example of great strength.

People on YouTube are particularly bad at criticizing form, even alright form.  They will say the form sucks on one of my clips (actually, pretty well all of them), and it should be pointed out that even with my imperfect form, I am still demonstrating a fair amount of weight.

In Castleberry's case, assuming the plates are real, he is very strong.  And ZachG_85 is extremely strong.
Yeah, you took a lot of undeserved grief for your dumbbell pressing form when you were utilizing a fairly full range of motion with perfect form and simply didn't have the wrist/forearm development to fully control the dumbbells. Either way, your form was better than 90% of people posting lifts - just a bit wobbly on the wrist stabilization.

You're the second person to tell me it was weak wrists which was the problem with my dumbbell presses.  Someone recommended that I beat off more to amend this.  Do you recommend bludgeoning the beefsteak to improve in this area?

I named the clip "Sad attempt at 410."
You need to frequently perform lifts that emphasize wrist stabilization such as overhead dumbbell presses and dumbbell bench presses and to increase the poundages at a pace that allows your wrist/forearm to keep up. You find this type of wobbly-wrist syndrome in guys who move up in strength very rapidly where the chest/shoulders can accommodate the weight but the wrists/forearms haven't really progressed from the 80lb dumbbells to the 120lbers.

And yes, sad attempt at 410 is aptly named.

I had a very below average day today, due to waking up early yesterday and perhaps needing a little more sleep tonight to fully catch up on that.  This will be my last day using NO-XS by Higher Power.  My final grade = C.

http://www.bodybuildingpro.com/higherpowernoxsreview.html

That said, I did not use it exactly as directed.

I expected to deadlift 410 raw no less than three times and no more than 6-8 (with eight being wishful thinking):

I named the clip "Sad attempt at 410."  Next week, I already suspect I will be having a very good back day.  Also, I want to point out, that whenever I see people deadlift 400, 500, 600, etc, even with bad form, I consider them strong because merely getting it up is strong in and of itself.
dude are you doing SLDL's their was hardly any bend in your legs man it was all lower back, it hurt to watch

What does his face look like?  I find face remains the ultimate marker of male physical attractiveness for women.  What makes you say women are obsessed with him though?  Just curious.

I've been warned, but I disagree.  Like Bertil Fox, I bet I will never get an injury.  It's genetic I think.

It felt good to do it, and it felt good leaving the gym again.  My lower back has never felt better.  It's pretty weird, actually...

With better form, the irony is that I would lift more, not less.

But my point is that even locking out on heavy weight, even with piss poor form, is indicative of strength.  So you have to give Castleberry credit for that.
No doubt the weight is always the same weight no matter how you lift it, but bro I would definitly work on the form take it from somebody who has thrown there back out, sooner or later with that form your gonna fack something up bad man...I felt great up till the point i threw my back out, you shouldnt wait until there is a problem to address the cause 8)

Matt, don't jerk the weight. It doesn't help in lifting more. Do it as quickly as possible but do it by squeezing the weight off the ground.

Wouldn't that make lift off particularly difficult?
I don't think so. Another good que is to think that you're pushing the feet through the floor instead of lifting the weight. Then when it gets moving extend the back.

I don't even think he's good for 30 full. The last 10-20 weren't even half reps, they were quarters.  I would feel pretty goofy publicly announcing that I was about to bench 225 for 50 on and then film myself doing that.
