Clearly off all gear. Upper body half the size. 1990 in Britain I believe. Opening minute should excite all you closet schmoes.

PROBABLY would have placed in wbf show 92 version,,suprising he didnt compete in it he was all in on promoting /marketing.his legs still looked insane there.

Most of the stars of his era took a complete break off steroids every year. Some of these guys shrunk down to nothing. I remember after Pumping Iron broke they gave an exhibition at the Whitney Museum. All the major champs were off steroids. Arnold and Zane looked like shells of them self. The only one that looked good was Ed Corney who I assume was still juicing for appearances because he was in demand from the movie.

When was that exhibition, if you recall? I've seen dates as late '75 and early '76.

Platz was probably off here because of the strict regulation that happened in 1990 across basically all sports, regarding steroids. From pro wrestling to the Olympics, to bodybuilding. A couple of years later and he was back on.

I'll never understand why he posed the way he did. He rarely hit leg shots till the end of routines almost as an afterthought and all of his upper poses highlighted his narrow clavicle by being so compressed. It's like he did the opposite of what he should have...

I don't understand what motivated Tom to reduce his body size to this extent. Did he take a nap at the beach, then wake up covered in sand, only to have the bully on the beach help clean the sand off him?

I remember those Whitney Museum photos, they looked horrendous.
