Nearly finished it, the cgi boats are shocking,  characters are terrible,  no development, suddenly jake is kissing the girl, no chemistry or anything beforehand. The main bad guy is shocking, not believable in the slightest. Brad wesley you believed was a total arsehole.

DNF. Shit tier remake. Diversity for the sake of diversity, none of the characters are sympathetic or even slightly likeable. The original Roadhouse wasn't high culture, but the writing and storyline are worlds better. Connor McGregor was a garbage villain, just meant to hook UFC dollars and cross promotion. They could've wheeled out a geriatric Tong Po, Bolo Yeung, Matthias Hues, etc.... from any B grade action film of the 80's or 90's would've been more enjoyable than him and the other nothing that play the bad guys. 

Also, omitting the whole Sam Elliot style character?

Garbage film.

        It SUCKED!!  Period!   Filled with to many blacks for absolutely NO reason !! Jake did a good part but the rest sucked. Nothing believable. It had some good/funny moments. The one "coward" tough guy was pretty funny for sure.  No reason for Connor's character to be like that. They tried to hard and made it all way to unbelievable.  An insult to the original  I hope "Dalton" comes back from his grave and kicks the shit out these ass clowns that remade it.

The thing about movies like Point Break, Robocop, Roadhouse, etc was that you cannot recreate the overall campiness of these films.  Each film had scenes that made you laugh out loud or even cheer when you saw them in real time, and had lines that were quoted for 20 years after.

Who hasn't told their wife "you're going to be my regular Saturday night thing", named their Colecovision centerfielder ED-209, or said "pain don't hurt" every single time I was asked if I was ok? 

Ok, maybe those are all just me, but you get the point.

Remakes cannot provide any of that.
