hey asshole.......how about a little respect for Mr. Dickerson!!!!!!  THE MAN WON THE OLYMPIA WHICH IS MORE THAN YOU HAVE PROBABLY DONE.......HE is a classy individual and you have no right to belittle him. Shut your trap and learn to respect honorable people.

have you met him?  i have. and i respected him until i met him. i respect everyone until i have reason not to. and despite the fact that he was gifted the Mr. O title, he deserves no respect.  no, i didn't win the Olympia, but i have had more real life success than this small man. he dresses like a bum half the time, begging people for $10 for a photo. no charisma, no personality.  i do respect honorable people - take your own advise. you know nothing about me.

I have met him and he was a gentleman......very courteous and willing to engage the fans around him. I have also emailed him with training questions and he has answered everyone of them. If you are honorable, sir.....you wouldn't put him down here on getbig.com! If you have had bad dealings with him.....take it up with him.....don't belittle him here on a bodybuilding site. IMHO

not defending everyone......but I will defend Mr. Dickerson, due to the fact that he has not offended me, and has been pleasant.

i'm glad things are good between you. i didn't find him to be quite so charming. and are you any different, insulting me publicly without knowing anything i've accomplished?

thanx. it's usually me defending bodybuilders from verbal attacks. i do respect Chris' record. he did have a great physique, though i think he was at his best years before he became Mr. Olympia. i shouldn't have let his personality affect my words regarding his career. i was actually very embarrassed for him when i met him. these guys seem to forget how many people idolize them; and don't carry themselves in a way that perpetuates their Godlike persona's.

no hard feelings. thanx for keeping me objective.

Fully agree.

Thats why with Dickerson for example, I really admire his physique, but couldn't care less bout meeting him nor most others. I've generally come to understand the guys I idolized are just regular people, and just like regular people, a lot turn out to be assholes.

I'm sure there are many exceptions though, but I don't feel the need to meet them.

What no Franco? I know he wasn't good at the 1981 Mr.O but he was at the 1976.
Agreed in 1976 Franco looked great at the 1976 Olympia!!!!!

I think Franco gets criticized way too much for his 81 Olympia win...... Look at the guy......maybe he has some gyno.....ok.....but look at his chest, back, bis.....his legs are not nearly as good as Platz's legs....but his legs are still decent and they don't overshadow his upper body. Franco had some sick density and he was always shredded.

this in not a personal assault on your character Willie, so i hope you don't blast me with a barrage of personal insults.

i feel Franco's legs in the above photos were balanced (these photos were from the 70's). but when he competed in 1981 they were quite poorly developed compared to the rest of the competitors.

Hazbin,
I apologized to you......my attack on you is in the past......I never attacked you because you felt someone had weak legs.....I attacked you because you called Chris Dickerson a name.....I realize that he pissed you off......at the time it seemed like an attack on his personality or his reputation......I wouldn't attack you because you feel like Franco had weak legs......the past is the past......I respect your opinion regarding Franco.

I am sure most people would agree that someone mentioning that pro bicyclists have bigger legs than Franco Columbu, is a bit of a stretch......No??
