Title: The "Glazed Donut" Phenomenon
Post by: Parker on August 10, 2012, 09:57:44 PM
First it was apparent in Kuclo, now the overall 2012 USA winner? What causes this, being left out past expiration?

Well it can't be not being shredded enough since they always look better x weeks out, so it must be some kind of last minute antic. Same reasoning for the drugs, they are on the same stuff x weeks out.

I'm voting on major carb loading with or without insulin. Mostly with insulin probably these days. Possibly with a touch of diuretic to make sure the look is spoiled entirely.

The solution of course is what I have been saying for years, DON'T do any of that last minute bullshit. If you look great 1-2 weeks out, simply coast in and don't try to improve on what is already good as it is.

What are you talking about? The way that the spray-tan and oil dries?

You are speaking from your years of professional bodybuilding experience, right?

Correct  ;) Come on, it's not exactly rocket science. Although people who profit from making it so would gladly make you believe it is.

I'll leave the professional bodybuilding to the professional bodybuilders. They've been actually competing for years, they know a thing or two about what works for them.

Considering that screw-ups are more the norm than the exception, I highly doubt that. Most are just doing something and hope it'll work. They have no clue most of the time.

Soemone like say Dorian, yes, he knew what he was doing and why he was doing it.

What exactly is this glazed donut-phenomenon by the way? Because I might have commented on something else than the question. I thought it stood for basically the watery look.

Idd. I can't imagine him having rubbed on so much fake tan that it has this as a consequence. He can't possibly be THAT retarded.

Same thing can be said for Wolf.  He always looks huge, dry and diced 2 weeks out.  Then he shows up on stage and looks like he lost 20 lbs, and smooth as a babies ass.  I agree, they're trying the last minute, "carb loading", water depletion shit.  If you look good 2 weeks out, leave it alone.  Keep eating the same shit everyday, throw on your tan, and hit the stage.   ???

Exactly. It's hilarious that it has become the norm rather than the exception nowadays. They ALL do it  ::)

Strange, maybe the drugs are rearing their ugly head via water retention that you can't get rid of.
I think twisting the pinky a bit more during curls could squeeze out that extra water?

No suffering on the diet for the guys today........they all want to weigh 280 pounds onstage...........even if they shouldn`t.

So you get to pick from a bunch of smooth waterlogged guys...........the one who is not the smoothest wins.

No one is immortal...but do you think the last thought in Andreas Munzer's head before he died an early death was "yeah...looking diced and dry on stage was worth it"

True of course. But still wes, 99% looks better a few weeks out, they are constantly doing last minute screw-ups. I can be mistaken but I'm pretty sure that is yet another thing that wasn't being done in your days? (however far back those may be  :D )

True, they always try to "trick" the body and end up "tricking" them selves out of placing.
