I saw a brief interview of Ben on The Score a couple days ago

he claimed that in his prime, had he access to today's technology (shoes, track surface, etc...), he would have run the 100m in 9.5 seconds

Johnson's no genius, in the 90s he also said that his time wouldn't be beaten for 100 years.

Most sprinters of his caliber can routienly run a 3.8-4.0 40. freakish.

BJ was solid muscle... but he was totally doped up.  Sure he was fast, but his body didn't look anything like the other runners on the track.  One look at him and you could see he was a lab rat. :-\
