In a 60 minutes segment aired last night on CBS, the interviewer said this about the 145lbs Osteen " You can see that same diligence in his workouts. Osteen can bench-press 300 lbs., which is twice his body weight. And on the basketball court, even in the simplest of pickup games, he is focused, determined and looking for help from above".
Maybe he's a strong dude, but they show a quick clip where he was in the gym, doing 185lbs or so in the smith machine.

I benched 305 on a Universal machine at 155 and was not naturally strong.
A friend of mine was naturally strong and benched 315 with free weights at 165
and he was 6 foot tall. A friend at my college at 155 benched 315 free weights.
Some people have naturally strong joints and ligaments and are stronger than they look.
I believe he could have done a one rep 300 bench on a MACHINE.

Religion is a tool of social control employed very effectiely by the leaders of societies throughout history. The human need for a psychological crutch and a higher meaning to their lives has made this possible. If it had not been "the religion of christ" it would have been some other religion (as it has been in several other cultures).

Considering his Ministry makes more in a day than your "rich family with the biggest Bentley dealer in NC" makes in a life time and his wife is pretty much hotter than than anyone you've even talked to..............I'd hardly call him a simpleton..........you have have some serious psychological issues you need to deal with.

I love how anytime you get something in the mail from a church, or see one of those televangelist on tv they are trying to sell you something or get you to donate money. Also its bs that churches dont have to pay taxes

He is a tormented soul and that is a shame. Eveything he does in life is motivated by anger that comes from within. Finding himself is going to be a long scabrous journey, hopefully he is strong enough to make it to the end.
