How can any Pro Org survive without more people wanting to Promote IFBB Pro shows.It's Not like it costs Much and Sponsors cover most if Not all costs.The Same contest year after year with the Same Promoter same Judges and same Winners.FFS :-\.The sport is growing NOT.hMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Anyone can promote an IFBB show. You just have to pay the licensing fee which usually is a little over $100,000.
Then you have to pay for the athletes travel and hotel expenses.
Then you have to pay for the venue
Then you have to pay insurance for incidental fees.
Then you have to pay for advertising
Not that easy

well... if i recall correctly, a $50k deposit is due 6 months before the show.
Many promoters don't have to pay it, as evidenced by that chap in canada who ran a show and didn't cancel until the last minute and *somehow* managed to get away with never mailing in the 50k check.
Sounds like something not uniformly enforced, as detailed by that situation.

They hook want to bees that lose the money and never come back. Unless you are in with Manion and he gives you the sponcers . even then people lose . I:e John Lindsey of Cal. Still you need an audence.
NY pro makes some because the promoter is so cheap . No flights or hotel rooms or per deim meals. with the comps and sponcer tickets he only has to sell 700 plus tickets and they can't do that. Not to mention the terrible stage set up. The show has no aura. So if he would put the kind of money into what a pro show should be , he would not make any money either.
Now the NPC nationals and USA make a lot of money every year. But that is another thing why they work.
