Okay lads, just did a bit of digging and the official rules for 14/15 season are out on the website from 01.08.14 so I will summarise the rules then.

Yep, we'll actually do the league on the site (set up a UKGetbig mini league) and then every Monday post up the scores in this thread.

Looked into the Premier League one that Brad suggested, but it will be a an admin nightmare if we want to do a mini league - everyone has to select their squad for each game etc etc and it's more like championship manager. The regular Premier League Fantasy Footy on there is ok, but no mini leagues.
The Sun site won't show any more info on 14/15 until tomorrow.

Rules are simple: 50m to buy your starting 11 players, 2 players maximum from each team.
Once you've created a team, you will have the option of joining a mini league - our league is called UK Getbig

i think Costa might struggle, Atletico played to his strengths and he had a lot more space for them than he will for Chelsea, teams defend deep against Chelsea and most of their goals come from the 3 behind the CF as the CF gets snuffed out, ends up doing nothing more than creating space for the attacking mids to exploit.
reckon he might go the way of Schevchenko, Torres, Eto'o and even Drogba's latter years his goal-game ratio went down the pan.
Bony will likely join LFC, Sturridge + Bony will do well imo.
Dzeko is a great shout for top scorer too. Jovetic has to be a certainty, fully fit he's one of the best. Aguero struggling with injuries.

I see where you're coming from with Costa, you can almost hear the comparisons with Torres and co come December ;D
On the other hand, he could come good and I'll be kicking myself. I did strongly consider Dzecko as he had a great end to the season and is proving to be pretty consistent.
Dzecko/Bony or Sturridge/Bony I reckon - last thing I wanna do is put all my striking hopes on someone with no Prem minutes...

That happened to me, and I linked it with my paypal for a free trial of sunplus or something.

But even without playing every week and getting injured last season, he was still top points scorer for STR in the fantasy prem.....
Only other option is Rooney and Sturridge, but don't want to see RVP become golden boy and Rooney not get the goals..........
Sturridge is a must as he's playing every game if fit. He also relished the time Saurez was injured and scored heaps.

You would think getting constantly humiliated and mocked by Mourinho would make Wenger totally driven on improving the squad and creating a potentially title winning team. Instead, it’s just the same old shit every season. >:(

Exactly, Rose and Townsend are currently Championship material and they should be loaned out for another season at least.
Over the course of the season, i'm not worries at all about the team under Poch, thing he's gonna do a great job. I can see us finishing 5th this year, and possibly battling for 4th with Woolwich/Liverpool in the last few games.
If we get to the semi/final of the Europa then we would have made a good account of ourselves, considering the SHIT transfers we bought last season.
Could you imagine, if we spent 100m on premier league players ::)

Adebayour is a very creative player but his body language and effort shows lack of commitment/hunger
Soldado looks like a dud (hopefully Poch can get 10-15 goals out of him this season - not just Europa penalties)
Kane is still learning his trade so can't throw him up against the top 6 teams and expect him to ravage their 100m defenses.

Pretty pleased with Welbeck. Not top class but has potential to thrive in our system. Would still like us to have signed a DM though as well (get Kallstrom back :D).
Will be hilarious if Falcao gets injured and barely plays this season while Wellbeck ends up becoming a Sturridge type signing. ;D

But apart from mins 60ish to 70 (where they had 80% possession ffs) and relentless attacked our box - it was an even game.
Adebayour is a fucking lazy cock, there were points I had to actually rewind it to take another look as he stood there and just watched the ball played past him. God forbid that he should run 10 yards to intercept ::)
