It's a slideshow not a video, but if you're a Sly fan there are some nice shots in there

Still working out and takes pretty good care of himself.  I wonder how many here will be working out when they are 70... 1% maybe?

Three Oscar nominations (two for acting, one for writing) and entertained moviegoers for 30 years.  He really did something with his life!  Hats off to the guy! 8)

Did something with his physique too!  :P

Seeing that slideshow started me wondering - which film was he in his lifetime best-ever shape I wonder?  I remembered being impressed with his conditioning in the Rambo stick fight, but then when I looked again tonight... ???

Also, on a bit of a tangent:  when searching for that clip I came across the Charlie Sheen spoof version - I don't think I've seen it so was surprised to see Mr Sheen had clearly been doing a little bit of something iron-related - who knew?  :o

His daughters look like him too.

Same sleepy/droopy eyes and mouth.

Maybe they will enter the movie business when they grow older as well

Stallone should be heralded for the true thing he brought to cinema.

The world's most ugly running style (see I think Rambo 3 for the best example)

Yep, I'd rather have Stallone's career and life vs. Arnold's any day.  Even 7 Olympias don't trump a Mildred. Stallone is more creative and more talented than Arnold. He has a better taste in women than Arnold 10 fold. Stallone took his average to mildly touched look and average genetics and used to talent as a writer and his unnatural drive and became an icon. I'm way more impressed with him overall than Arnold. Arnold will never recover over the Mildred thing. What's with the ugly women did he have an ugly mother or something?

That didn't sound right to me, but it seems you are correct. Celebritynetworth tags him at $400 million.  Arnold is tagged at $300 million.  Sly is definitely the bigger talent, but Arnold ascended in bodybuilding, Hollywood, and state government (in the largest state).  And he did it all after moving to the US with zero $ and barely speaking English, so hardly a slouch.  I am not a fan of Arnold, but his narrative is more impressive to me than Sly's.

As for their tracks in Hollywood, if a new movie were coming out whose would you rather see or invest in... a pick with Sly or one with Arnold?  I'd go for Arnold. 8)

Arnold did accomplish a lot in his life. Pretty sure he stepped on a lot of toes and stabbed people in the back Long the way as well. I would not herald his governorship as an accomplishment either.  When it comes to Stallone. His acting is perfect for the roles he plays, as said earlier he can write block buster movies and does so every decade. He made himself and I doubt he was a cut throat along the way to get there. His movies are the only ones I hAve ever seen that can make me jump from my chAir and root for him to beat the odds. His movies are inspiring, motivating and , packed with action. He has stood the test of time as a movie goer favorite. He has kept great shape of himself. The only time he started to look weird was when he was taking growth hormone and his face ballooned up like a bad horror movie make up job. Probably did so when he was hanging out with that weirdo Mickey Rourke. All in all Stallone is my all time favorite action star. Better than Arnold hands down, no comparison.

Didn't think Sly had more money than Arnold. The more you know!

I'm sure that Arnie had more than Sly at one point though, during the the Terminator 2-era.

amazing that when he was starving and broke the production company wanted to buy his Rocky script and put Redford in the lead roll.   he stuck to his guns when he could have really used the couple hundred grand they were offering.   had he have sold, it is unlikely that any of us would have ever heard of him.

Created some really worthwhile characters.  Especially Rocky.  Then devalued his creations by whoring them to death in sequels that were nothing but an insult to audiences that appreciated the original.

Rocky was very unrealistic.  First blood/Rambo was based on some other guys book.  He was also in Rhinestone singing with Dolly Parton, pure shit.

Stallone's movies are terrible for the most part.  Conan, Predator, Terminator, Commando, Total Recall, Twins and Jingle All The Way.

Both took lots of raids and other body related drugs and are still kicking.

First Blood was his best film imo. The other Rambo films were more basic and lacked the tension and quality of the original. Rambo 3 seems fairly odd now given that it potrays the Mujahideen (soon to become Taliban) in a positive light.
The Rocky films were ridiculous but entertaining (as was Over The Top). Cliffhanger and Demolition Man are both quality action flicks. I agree on Copland being one of Sly's underrated films.

Arnold's acting was always hindered by his accent but he had the better selection of films overall when compared to Stallone.

As someone from the UK who actually read 2000AD (the comic where Dredd originated) for 20 years from Prog (issue) 1, I was amazed at the backlash against Stallone's version - I loved it.  I thought it captured the essence of the comic artwork - OK, so Dredd never took his helmet off, like a Hollywood star would agree to that!  But I'm no purist, so the way it smudged together so many bits of the comic was enjoyable.  (And Stallone's bottom lip suited the helmet)

Classic scene.

First Blood - the scene where he first escapes custody  8) - I BET every single Getbigger hit rewind on that part!!

Rambo 3 - the world swung around quickly on that one, didn't it - wonder how Fortress reviews this film given the current state of affairs?
