André Pollet, a french powerlifter from the 80's, a living legend.
Guy benched 240kg, squatted 350kg, deadlifted 320kg, all raw.
He benched 225lbs for 57 reps in an official contest.
I trained with him back in the 90's/2000. At that time he was benching 350lbs for 15 reps on a regular basis.
One day he was sitting on a bench, and still sitting he cleaned 225lbs, and military pressed it 10 time like nothing, he was squatting 400lbs for ten reps easily at 55 y.o.
We were training in an old basement, with dusty plate, with hole in the ground and spider web everywhere, squat session were something, with 5/6 guy squatting at the same time on the old rack. I miss the 90's.
Now he's 60 y.o, still benching 225lbs for 30 (the last 10 reps paused), he dedicated his life to powerlifting.
Having a guy like him as a spotter was a terrible motivation.
