Download MyFitnessPal app. Has everything you need. You can even specify where you got it from if it's a known chain. You can even scan barcodes. Will tell you all the calories and nutritional facts you need to know.

The Fried Chicken Wing and Pork Fried Rice combo must have a lot as it seems to be the most common meal among 300+lb African-American women.

For example, MyFitnessPal shows Panda Express steamed white rice is 380 calories for 8.1 ounces. The kids meal, which is the smaller portion of course, shows 240 calories for 5.1 ounces. You probably got 8 ounces worth with any regular sized take out container. So you're looking between 380-400 in case you got some extra scooped in there.

So people really count calories? I mean, they actually keep track of the numbers?

I thought that was just some kind of marketing trick and everybody just kind of eye balled it. You know, you've been eating everyday, several time a day, for your whole life so you kind of know what's a normal portion for you. So if you want to gain weight you just kind of have bigger portions and if you want to lose weight you kind of have smaller portions.

The idea of actually carrying an electronic device and actually calculate these things seem strange.

Compare to say 20 year ago, and certainly when I was a kid, we have much more easy access to low calorie food, we have gyms practically on every street corner. They're always crowded so more people are working out then ever before. Yet people seem fatter than ever.

For the first time in about 3 months I ate Chinese today for lunch. I had General Tso's chicken and fried rice with yum yum sauce. That was probably 1,500 cals. Almost 5 hours later and I still want to puke.

Stay away from the Yum Yum sauce. That's what priests gives to altar boys when they get their special blessing.

Does brown rice have more calories than white rice? You know, because of the extra brown.

Brown rice vs. white rice

216 vs. 205
