Any of you get the Beef Sweats?
« on: May 02, 2013, 07:55:06 AM »
I can eat chicken or fish all day and feel light and energetic, but as soon as I down a steak or ground beef.  About 30 minutes later I get all sweaty, I feel heavy and nasty.

I guess falcon will say it's the heme iron fucking with me.

You don't have to eat beef in the boiler room.

How lean are your sources of steak/ ground beef? and how do you prepare it?  seasonings/oils/ cooking style

Yes. I get them, and never actually put my finger on it when I was younger. Meat and red meat in particular is heavy on the system, at least my system.

When I used to go out to dinner with friends I usually gorged on a piece of meat  with a lot of sauce since you paid good money to do so and felt like it was an "occasion". And then for 1-2 hours afterwards, meatsweats deluxe. Couldn't move my ass, just feeling like shit and with the sad side effect of also sobering up. Never doing that again.

A lot of tender and sensitive wittle tummies in this thread. I'm warming up a nice glass of milk for all of you to sip on while I rub some Vick's on your chest.  :D

Just ate a steak and raw veggies. No sweat, as it were.

Man up, bozos.

Never had beef sweats, although when I'm coming off a few days of sub 50 carb days, the first meal of carbs I have I get sweaty and flushed for about 20 minutes, but that's fairly normal under those conditions.

I had a huge fucking beef burger for dinner last night. No sweats but it was tough to digest.

I stopped eating beef for dinner, get much better sleep now.  Don't wake up dragging and bloated either.
