Albert Beckles reports:
"I remember vividly about the 1975 Mr. Olympia in South Africa. When it was time to leave the hotel by bus, we where told that black athletes had to sit in the back. Ofcourse nobody wanted to follow that rule but nothing decided until Arnold came out of the hotel. We told Arnold and he got angry right away, telling the organizers that they would not follow that rule. They warned Arnold that it could be dangerous if the soldiers saw the black athletes occupy those seats. But Arnold held strong and repeated to the organizers that there would be no way they would follow those rules. Arnold told them that we are going to take the risk and stay a team of bodybuilders united. There is one of my finest memories of Arnold"
