in all honesty he looks good like that, shows that he doesnt have the normal "size paranoia" most pros have, he probably will have no problem psychologically coming down to to 210 when he retires.

i agree, if he looked like that after retiring hed be doing great, looks 225-230 there but is probably heavier due to the angle.

This is the best picture Ive ever seen of Jay (with clothes on). He actually looks quite healthy and goodlooking here. More like a fitness type of body than a gigantic one that is usually displayed. I approve this look all the way, this is what most men want to look like. And lol @ the snickers bar, thought I never see that one coming from Jay, haha... ;D

For most bodybuilders, going down in size has got to be a huge blow to the ego. But for those who can deal with that it's gotta be a giant relief not having to be out of breath all the time, being able to tie your own shoes without feeling like your head is about to explode etc.

Honestly being small, weak and in shape is much, MUCH better than being big, bloated and strong. You feel 10 x better about yourself. Been dieting for about a month now and not only have I kept most of my strength, I have also gained some more by adding creatine during the diet. I tell you, I will never ever be over 220 pounds again, not even 210 pounds for that matter. Id like to stay around 200 pounds with normal food intake that is (incl. water weight). Bulking up is just a waste of time, money and energy after you`ve trained naturally for some years and you have reached your potential.

Dropping excess bodyweight and fluid is recomended by surgeons prior to surgery, I am not 100 percent sure on the reasoning but I had surgery when i was very heavy back in the early 90s around 285 and I couldnt get my oxygen levels back up in recovery, scary shit. When talking to other guys about it we all did teh same especially after what happened to Orville Burke, had a good conversation with Milos about it years ago, we both had the same opinion.

He is having his bicep fixed. So you need to get off all drugs prior to surgery. Some drugs will make u bleed too much for example. It is a smart move.

Jude is exactly right. Jay has business dealings with a friend of mine in the supplement industry and from what he told me Jay has been off since the Olympia because he knew he would be having surgery and yes, you must get off gear for that, so he never went back on after the Olympia. His body and mind needed time off to relax as on more than one occasion Jay had said the drugs were "making him fucking nuts." He also said he was taking this time off to think through his next move but as of a week ago he has plans on competing one more time. A lot depends on how the surgery goes. He got the surgeon he wanted so we'll see.
