Title: lifting while being injured
Post by: gymrat01 on March 17, 2009, 02:45:24 PM
I was lifting about a month ago, just started my shrugs. First set 100 lb DB's dropped it on my right great toe and absolutly shattered it. I just had surgery 2 weeks ago but it will take more that that to keep me down. i've been lifting but not as much. Its hard to do everything when you can barely walk. Any one think thta im stupid for lifting with a fucked up toe or not? Im trying to keep my mass but i cant really do that much. Im going to be on crutches for 2 more months, but i want to lift. To lift or not to lift that is the question? comments or help will be appreciated.

three words buddy: steel toed boots!

id keep training, just train around it. Probably use alot more machines than your used to.

PS: go the sympathy route with the toe. Say you pushed a kid out of the way of a car and it clipped your kicker. Nail some spin class ass!
