Mentzer's body was found Sunday by his brother Raymond, also a title-winning competitive bodybuilder, in the apartment they shared in Rolling Hills Estates, said David Rice of L.R. Rice Mortuary in Torrance.

The cause of Mike Mentzer's death was not disclosed, pending a coroner's investigation. He had a history of heart trouble.

After making funeral arrangements for his brother, Ray Mentzer's body was found in bed at the apartment. He was declared dead Monday, about 24 hours after his brother died."

Last I heard, "the philospoher" has been really busy working on a ton of projects including his long-awaited follow-up to his HIT video from 12 years ago. He's really been buried lately.

I'm sure Vince took all the good photographs at the 1980 Olympia and sent them to Ironman so the picture of Mike is actually Vince's.  I had the ironman which covered the 80 Olympia and I'm sure Vince is credited as the photographer in most of the pics. Seem to remember Muscle and Fitness published some of Vince's pics too but he didn't get paid by Weider.
