Derek isn't going to ever get a paid position from MD. He isn't going to get a 'Q&A' as he suspects as it is strictly a PLOY to keep him in check and LOYAL to MD.

 Derek. I hope you are smart enough to see that. I know you have friends in that part of town but I gotta tell you, man...you're getting stringed along. If you're cool with that then...fine. Otherwise the moral of my story is don't hold out and think you have to be 'in-line' because a paid column is said to be dangling in front of you. If it hasn't happened NOW it's never going to.

 Then again...I might be wrong. Maybe.
