He was drunk and out of it. He didn't have his inhibitions but for the most part he was compliant. It's obvious they're looking to shoot in the video. Nothing he did even if he was listening were they satisfied. The median should not be putting bullets in him. 5 cops with guns in their holster, and them using a taser would have been ample enough.

A cop shouldnt have to take a risk of being shot by fucking about with a taser.
Its the same when cops shoot kids with toy guns, cops cant take chances with all the shitty pond life they have to deal with these days.
Kid points a gun, cop thinks fuck it , its only a toy, next second hes got a bullet in his guts.

I usually side with the cops in these situations but in this one, it sure seemed to me like the cop in the video was annoyed at the guy for his dumbassery and was just itching for an excuse to shoot him.

A cop shouldnt have to take a risk of being shot by fucking about with a taser.
Its the same when cops shoot kids with toy guns, cops cant take chances with all the shitty pond life they have to deal with these days.

If a cop doesn't wanna risk his life for the job, he shouldn't be a fucking cop. Cops take risks for the good of civilians, not the other way around. There is no room for selfishness and it could have been handled in a much safer way. They were arresting an insect guy who was called in for having a pellet gun, not a matrix character with the ability of Clint Eastwood in the movies. It's a FACT that they inaccurately predicted what he was gonna do. They should be more reactive, then using predictions.

are you aware of what a risk assessment is?
Its a method of assessing certain tasks for the level of risk, the safest way is to not perform the task, thats not always an option, so you apply control measures to make the risk as low as reasonably practicable.
Have a think about that and then read the bolded section you posted again.

Likely have sold the cop steroids and asked to be shot and tapered to see what it feels like, cop told him he should compete, then ending up in hospital with a massive abscess that has nothing to do with the dirty gear he makes and injects, it's probably a snake bite as he has a pit of rattlesnakes in the balcony but hasn't bothered sorting it yet. Then he'd likely make daily half hour rant youtube videos about pain medication, triple cheese sandwiches and generally telling lies.

Guy was crawling toward the cops and reached back? He was told multiple times that if he put his hands behind him he would be shot. If he was tired, he should have fallen face first spread eagle with his hands above him. I cannot think of a reason except suicide by cop or plain stupidity that he would reach behind him when crawling forward. I don't think the cop did anything wrong to be honest. Plus, dude was white so the cop can't be eviscerated by the liberal media for being a racist. ::) ::) ::)

Cops have a very tough job.....They deserve some leeway.....Personally, I hope they shoot some more lowlifes and make the World a better place. Always puzzles me why some people defend lowlifes. I guess 'birds of a feather'.

Pretty much sums it up. All that screaming makes it seem justified. All they had to do was ask him to turn around hands behind back. This guy died not knowing what the hell he did.

Just watched that video and that was not a good shoot. That officer should have been convicted. The leadership of the department needs to be under scrutiny as well just due to the fact that the officer was allowed to carry a weapon that says "you're fucked" on the side. Even though fatal officer involved shootings are actually quite rare given there are 330 million people in the US, there should be a lot more non leathal options to subdue suspects. You would think that this day in age police would have full body bullet proof armor and tranquilizer guns or something.

When they introduced Tazers for cops in the UK they got the bill through based on the fact that they would only ever be used in the exact same circumstances where you would use a gun.
Now they taze people when they are handcuffed.
