great pics. thanks pollux. arnold's quads were actually very big from the front, just not as diced as chet's. arnold was only 2/3 of what he would eventually become.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Albert Busek, who took a shitload of Arnold pictures, didn't meet him till he was 18 at the Jr. Mr. Europe. So I'm assuming those photos are from Kurt as well.

who wouldve thought with those pics that this guy would have the best physique of his time in a few years.genetically he looks very average, but sheer determination to be the best took him to the top.The best ever IMO!

Arnold doesn't even have to raise his right arm to show his peak, even on an downwards angle, he has an outstanding peak, sorry lad, you're no more than a wanna be ::)

It says a lot when you're an unknown bodybuilder going into your first Mr. Universe only to be clammered by onlookers because of you being a teenager with 19'' arms.
Then to be the only competitor to be recalled for an encore at the evening show! What an experience Arnold must've had on that day in the Victoria Palace.

It wasn't Sergio, it was the late Author Jones. According to Jones, Arnold and Franco were on a plane on their way to see him. Upon hearing news that Author measures the arms of bodybuilders the moment they get off the plane, Arnold and Franco furiously pumped up their arms on the plane.
Author Jones measured Arnold's and Franco's arm and had Arnold at 19.5 inches --I can't recall what Franco's measured -- and Sergio's was a true 22 inches. I kinda take what Author says with a grain of salt because he could've been biased because of Sergio.
