Cosby Show actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner attacks Bill Cosby for ‘tarnishing the sitcom’s legacy and damaging the reputation of black actors’

Malcom said: My biggest concern is when it comes to images of people of color on television and film, no matter what … negative stereotypes of people of color, we’ve always had ‘The Cosby Show’ to hold up against that. And the fact that we no longer have that, that’s the thing that saddens me the most because in a few generations the Huxtables will have been just a fairy tale.’

Bill is scheduled to testify in court today about an alleged assault on a 15-year-old girl 40 years ago, and a special episode of ‘Dateline NBC’ including the 29 women who accused Bill will air this Friday. So it looks like the craziness isn't slowing down anytime soon.

The guy was savagely annoying as Bill's character's meatball son. What's he been doing since? I seem to recall him in one of those low rent TV shows, playing, like, a Klingon-like dude, or some shit. Huge payday I'm sure.

The Cosby Show sucks ass. Where I grew up, it aired right after Family Ties. Alex Keaton and his family mopped the floor with the asshats in the Cosby family.

I wanted to smash Mallory with the force an atomic bomb, as well. The other daughter, the blonde 'tard, was lame, though.

Both those shows were the typical "baby boomer". The Cosby Show showed a different family---middle to upper middle class father who was a doctor and a mother who was an attorney.
Theo had dyslexia, and I believe all the kids went to college. One daughter had a husband who was a Navy Officer, if I recall. So, you had positive role models, but they were not  what the general public would think is the typical "black family". And many folk black and white, Asian, Latino tuned in for its comedy and the way it handle problems with children.

Both Family Ties and Cosby Show had its positives.

I liked the episode where Doc Hux was all "Hey, do yuu want to come to my house, take drugs, & have sex with me?"  and the chick goes "Yeah, ok."  Then it ended with: "Dr Huxtable raped me."

Always with the hamhanded moral message these 80s sitcoms.

Thursday nights with the Cosby Show was a mainstay in my house.

Today my 5 year old has seen almost every episode because of HULU.

I agree with Malcolm. ...at least there was the Cosby Show and now that's gone. ...it's sad and terrible what Bill apparently did.
