Yesterday

Started with 1/2 lb of ground turkey and rice

Protein shake and bagel

2 cod filets w/salad and large bowl of steamed vegetables

Protein shake

Tuna on rye

Protein shake.


Ive been trying to gain weight/muscle and to do so at 50 without getting fat is hard. But I put on a few lbs not as much as I wanted though but then didn't get fat either. Just not super lean at the moment.  So as of this morning I dropped carbs and going to try and get really lean again. (Going to stay in the keys in June) Just want to look diced on the beach.

Today

Protein shake

Bacon and eggs

Protein shake

Tuna w/ mayo

Burger patties w cheese, salad w full fat greek dressing.

BD!  Hope you’re well my friend.

Diet looks pretty good. Just be consistent- it will work. What worked in my 30’s still works today… it just takes twice as long.

Still eating a lot but it’s clean. My BMR is in overdrive.

Strange coincidence- one of the guys on my prep team was a longtime training partner of Skips. We have discussed Skips “drug free” claims and we have decided to agree to disagree. 😀 If he was natural then I am natural- and I am not natty. Not even close.

My weight… it’s weird, I’ve always known competition bodybuilding is an illusion. Sure those boys are huge, but they are not that huge. However when a decent bodybuilder is on stage, in shape with decent symmetry- they can appear enormous.

Samir weighed 188 when he won the Olympia. Mentzer weighed 207 when he won the Universe.

Ten days to go. On track. On point. Firing on all cylinders.
