BigCyp: I am from Denmark.

Here is an explanation of what it is. It is something we in Denmark call "smørrebrød": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sm%C3%B8rrebr%C3%B8d

some people have way too much time on their hands

???

12-14 hours, typically, from the time I set out the door for work til I get home for the night.  Cook once per day, about an hour.

Wow thanks for the breakdown lol!

Looks delicious mate.

I was in Holland last week and had 'Hollandse neue' or something like that. It was fresh raw herring fillet that had pickles and chopped onion - pretty much like some kind of sushi. Was very good.

Just the obvious ones Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

Stayed on a beautiful Houseboat in Amsterdam (on Jacob Van Lennepkade) for the wife's 30th, was actually a very 'romantic' time oh brother  ;D We hired bikes and spent a lot of time riding around the City/outskirts.

Went to a very nice restaurant called 'Ron' (BB related).

Congrats on your wife and glad you hear that the Cyp family had a good time. A bike is def the way to go, esp when the weather is good.
Rotterdam is about 25 km from here, so next time drop me a pm :)

Haha cool, I wouldn't say no to a few heinekens (unless you're in Dam Square and it's 8 euros a pint loool).

One thing that threw me off slightly was mopeds/scooters in the bicycle lane  :o :o :o

Heineken?! dude, almost any beer tastes better than that piss. Yeah those prices are ridiculous, I paid about the same for a croque-monsieur many years ago when I lived in A'dam for a while (the Warmoesstraat where the RLD starts).

The rules for mopeds & scooters are confusing, in most parts they aren't allowed on bike lanes, but around intersections they are free to do so (yeah WTF, LOL)

DP, could you recommend a few good Dutch beers? I have a huge luxury supermarket next to where I live, so I could pick up a few to fuel my late night photoshopping.

Can't remember my last beer, lol, but to answer your question...

- Alfa bier, which has a fresh/light taste. It's a unique beer since it's the only Dutch beer with water from an underground spring.
- 'Witbier', which isn't a brand but a type of beer (wheat beer). Almost any brand of 'witbier' is good, but Wieckse Witte is the most famous one.

My favorite beers however, are Hoegaarden from Belgium (both their yellow and their wheat beer) and... tadaaaa...., Tuborg, which has a similar fresh taste as Alfa.
