How the Fuk was it??Big crowd?... do you think Wayne had a better show???.
LOL. There could have been a grand total of five people in the audience, and Bob would answer that it was "almost sold out" "huge crowd" "best NY Pro yet"! ;D
-
We know he lies but he seems to be very quiet on this one he is normally here telling it how it was with Big Steve on his phone telling him what to type. Now how was it Chick why the silence??.
-
My wild guess is that he is busy and getbig is not at the top of his priorities.
-
You could be right after all he is the IFBB Pro Rep plenty of work to do there. ::)
-
I remember setting at the O in the crowd to hearing Bob say 'ITS A SOLD OUT CROWD" yet there was like 8 people in my entire section. LOL
-
Chick will say what ever the IFBB or Promoter tell him to say. ::)
-
"Waaaaaaaaaaaay better than when Wayne was running things into the ground!"
-
LOL 240 Have you been listening to Chick talking to Big Steve????.

How dare you comparing the NY Pro to the used-to-be the Greatest show in the NYC, The Night of Champions ;D
-
The Night of Champions was a great show once, did Wayne have anything to do with that show??It seems that the New Promoter doesn't know how to run a good show you only have to look at the venue.Oh well plenty of Tax Free dollars made.

lol.....could not have agreed more. the show is so poor that they can't even afford a decent venue. the best place they could find is a lowly community college somewhere in manhattan....hahahaha. you shold see the lobby. they could barely fit 100 people in there

Chicks silence speaks volumes on this matter.Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm m

Yeah...it means I don't answer retarded questions.

I remember when the Night of Champions was the #3 show for hype, behind the O and the Arnold. I didn't quite get that vibe this year.

I wouldn't know how steve pays his taxes...I would assume they're not "tax free".
You're retarded.
Hope this helps

Yeah, usually the winner would go on to win or place high at the O.
My best memory was Momo beating Dorian.
Man, use to love that NOC...sad to see that pathetic lineup this year :'(
-
You're retarded.
Bob, a lot of Bbing fans with mentally handicapped friends or relatives might find your flippant use of the word "retarded" to be hurtful and offensive.
Are they also "retarded" for being so sensitive?
-
this NY Pro should be classified as an Amateur show. just another show to get a Pro card. that's the weakest Lineup I've ever seen for a so called Pro BB show. They need sponsors, BADLY

Sponsors have nothing to do with it...it's a timing issue. Currently, there is a 8 week gap on either side of the NYP. We are working on adjusting the schedule for next year...

you remember the night when Paul Dillet won the NOC...hahahaha.....Beaco n theatre was upside down that night...lol, Big Paul was cursed at and He replied " New york can kiss my Ass"...lol, oh man, I miss those days

Hopefully Steve will get more money and He'll bring the show back to beacon theatre or a more decent place other than this Current Venue.

The crowd was a big part of that show. They were never shy about voicing their opinion, loved it!! I bet the athletes love that energy too, which is truely lacking nowadays from the fans. :-\

ha ha ha ha
chick won't even touch the all so sensitive question about attendance....
the crickets must have benn out in full force at tribecca
-
Why would I care? There were plenty of people there to attest to the size of the crowd...
I've seen bigger attendance, I've seen worse....looked to me to be about 3/4 full at the height of the evening. Given the line-up...it was OK.
Ever come out of your basement to attend a show, Dearth?

It amazes me how those who didn't even attend the event seem to know BETTER about what went on, then those who were there :o
In general, it seems that the Arnold and Olympia are doing well in terms of ticket sales and sponsers, etc.
But, some of the other pro events are not doing all that great. The old Night of Champions was a huge event.
You know I am a big fan of "other" pro events, but it seems many of them are starting to falter a tad.
Here is my 2 cents:
NPC shows doing better than ever:
Nationals and USA ( numbers up in both)
IFBB pro:
Olympia and Arnold doing great.
All other pro events seem to be doing ok, but not selling out and attracting new fans?

Source/ documentation/ numbers?
What was the increase from 2006 to 2007?

whats the problem chick? i thought you said bodybuilding was at the height of its popularity?
I guess its tough to eat your words when you are humbled here so often.

Chick...I was in the upper mezzanine....I'd say 85% full...very good crowd. I thought the turn out was great.
-
Chick, what did you have at the restaurant after the show?
Healthy?
Not me....started with bruschetta and then pasta with very good sauce and about a loaf of bread with oil.... ;D

The USA did have a record number of competitors last year, around 400 I believe. :-\

Why do you exist? Why are you on a bodybuilding forum? Do you like bodybuilding? Doesn't sound like it. Do you not have actual interests to spend your time on, not just disinterests? It must suck to be you.

Were you there that night? I was the MC at that show and it was one of the highlights of my career in bb.
It was a great lineup and huge event. Sonny was in the placings and I met Bev for the first time. It was also the first time I saw Yates live. Those were the days....
