Title: ETSY and Groupon
Post by: Notsonicemom on December 02, 2013, 06:03:14 PM
These will be the death of me. I just ordered 2 things from Etsy, one is a present for me. But I like they are unique.

Anyone else addicted or am I the only one

A lady I work with has a small crafts business on the side and she raves about etsy.com

I have a g/f that sells some of her jewelry on etsy.

Another g/f who owns a medi spa uses Groupon occasionally and gets slammed with business ~ almost more than she can handle.

I really like etsy, I'd rather get unique gifts and the money goes to a person not a huge company. My daughter loves owls so I ordered a owl clock for her room it will be from that fat bearded bastard lol

I love Etsy! Infact, I even have an Etsy store with handdyed and handspun knitting yarns, but I have to close the shop. I just can't compete with the low prices other Etsy stores offer. The absurdly high shipping costs for our postal services aren't helping...

Oh well, this year the whole family will get handwoven scarfs and handknit socks for Christmas.  ;D

Not for me, it doesn't. Free socks!  ;D

And I've just heard that my christmas present will be a custom laptop bag, hand died, hand woven, and fitted to my laptop. So I benefit from her Etsy work being too expensive.  :)

I love Groupon type sites.

I get all types of spa treatments from these type of sites now.
