Everyone should emulate the Japanese.  In the U. S and A, any disaster is viewed as an opportunity to loot some new swag.  In Japan, they behave like civilized human beings in spite of the fact that the world has crumbled around them.  #teamjapannuthugger

They feel each others pain...

Racism is always unacceptable - unless you're jewish or black. Then it is perfectly fine to be racist.

People and the media tend to only focus on the physical tragedy created by the tsunami.  It was very bad, but the radioactive isotopes released (and still being released) from the 3 melted-down nuclear reactor is 1000x worse.  Millions of Japenese people are walking dead and they don't even realize it.  They will develop numerous cancers and will be dropping like flies 3-5 years from now.

The radiation has saturated the Northern hemiphere and has been detected all over the world.  You've probably breathed/eaten several hot particles of Iodine, and/or Cesium, and/or Strontium, and/or Plutonium since March 2011.  However, you're taking in less hot particles than someone who lives in Japan, so it might take considerable longer for you to develop cancer... 10-30 years perhaps.

What's even more bizarre is that the lame stream media never talks about this.  I guess it's not really bizarre when you realize who owns and controls the media.

Define what "hot" means in this context.

A highly energized radioactive particle.  Very damaging to injest or inhale, except you won't know it until the cancer shows up 5-20 years later.
