When "And Justice for All" came out, I gave up on Metallica. Was always into the heavy/speed stuff.

Mercyful Fate
Agent Steel
Helloween
Kreator
Overkill
Death Angel
Destruction
Sepultura
Early Flotsam (w/ Newstead)
Sacred Reich
... etc...

Loved some of the doom stuff (Candlemass, and so on)...

You guys posting up all these hacky, no-name wannabes, but where's the hardcore soul of metal? The Poisons, the Warrants, the White Lions - BALLS! you sappy queers, why all this poser bullshit?

Act like ya never heard of Cinderella for fuck's sake.

Gotta admit, "Slave to the Grind" is reasonably metal, yeah? Not Scandanavia burn-a-church, kill-a-goat, fuck-a-corpse metal, but decent for hair fairies.

Skid Row is straight up metal for sure, first two albums are killer.

Don't care for much black metal, especially the older stuff. It mixes well with other styles, though. See: Behemoth

Was just watching this 2014 live version of this song with AXL's version of GNR and his voice and energy are par with the old Axl especially as the song gets to the halfway point on

Now that him and Slash are buddies again it would be nice if they could recapture  that  kind of energy again for a final blowout tour

PS-I know this is not the real guns blah blah blah, not my point here, point is to show present Axl performing somewhat like past Axl. And in all fairness, those guys he hired are good muscians, one of which co-wrote and produced Saints of Los Angeles for Motley Crue.
Aside from that, the   originals hooking up all at the same time wouldbe cool

Horrible indeed, and it doesn't comes close to metal.

Prime Guns were spectacular, one of the best rock debuts/records ever. But lightning in a bottle, man, done before Illusion 1, I'd say. Perfect when they were perfect, though. Two great records.

This present mess? Gonna pass, brother. Zero interest in a reunion.

Victim of fate, starlight...epic songs.

Check out Omen, "last rites" or "gladiator". Love that epic dungeon type metal with cool imagery and catchy riffs.

Guns represented that post-Sunset '80s glam/sleaze metal niche perfectly. However, after the debut, it was all downhill. And Axl has ground the band's legacy into the mud. I wish he'd die. Seriously.

I buy maybe two to six CDs each week. Everything from death to power to thrash to ... whatever.

Latest Accept cd hits number 1 in Finland and Germany and ranks in the top 10 in other countries across Europe.

North America doesn't even know they exist. Bieber and Swift top the charts here. Disgraceful.

Can't say I've kept track post-Udo, but this doesn't sound bad at all. Classic Accept was Priest-like dependable, knew what you were getting, and it was gonna shred.
