Tim Belknap
Exploded onto the scene dominating contests in the early 80's with his freaky mass monster physique.
Tim was a diabetic and openly discussed his use of insulin and how it helped him control his blood sugar and build his physique.
The bodybuilding world took notice and realised the power of insulin
In turn, the modern bodybuilding physique was born.

Yup, I remember when Tim first came on the scene talking about his diabetes. Never dreamed at the time that insulin would wind up having such a prominent role in bodybuilding. Why the fuck can't these guys just go back to the 90's? Plenty of size and conditioning with better seperation and no ridiculous gut...I don't get it... ???

What is Tim Belknap doing these days - I vaguely remember him from old magazines when I first started getting into bodybuilding in the early 90's - is he still involved with the "sport"?

Was most likely Dan Duchaine and not some diabetic, because in order to insulin work as a muscle builder you need to have a "normal" response to it, diabetics are just replacing what is not already made by their bodies...
-
It was actually Milos who introduced insulin to bodybuilding as part of his "supplements"in the mid to late 90'. Milos and I had it out on the phone one day and he got offended because I told him he was the one responsible for the down fall of bodybuilding. (Ok, one of the one's responsible)
